Cabanne
A key figure in the French minimal house scene, Cabanne first trained in music theory and developed his roots as a guitarist influenced by jazz and soul, performing as a member of the funk band FLAG from 1993 to 1998. These musical foundations still resonate in his productions today.
He later released works on Daniel Bell’s label 7th City, and on Perlon—run by Zip—as part of the duo Copacabannark with Ark. Cabanne was also involved in the legendary project Narod Niki alongside Dimbiman (a.k.a. Zip), Luciano, Daniel Bell, Richie Hawtin, Akufen, and Ricardo Villalobos, firmly establishing his name among the scene’s top artists.
In addition, he has demonstrated his skills as an A&R for labels such as Telegraph and Minibar, while continuing to release acclaimed works under aliases including Ultrakurt with David Gluck and Cabsum with Rhadoo. In 2016, he released the album Discopathy.
Highly regarded as a DJ, Cabanne is known for his steady, deeply groovy style, earning strong trust and respect across the global underground scene.
