Since launching his career in Tokyo in 2013, NARI has become a driving force within the city’s house culture as a core member of the trailblazing collective CYK.

As CYK, he has brought cutting-edge artists like Mall Grab, Baba Stilz, Ross From Friends, and Avalon Emerson to Japan, while also organizing collaborations with fellow DJs across the country—building a reputation for unforgettable, high-energy parties.

Standout performances at Rainbow Disco Club 2021, the explosive CYK 5th Anniversary, and appearances at RDC 2022, Fuji Rock ’22, and Wonderfruit Festival ’22 have solidified his role as a generational leader in Japan’s underground scene.

As a solo artist, NARI pursues a “broad house” approach, weaving across house, disco, soul, breaks, UK sounds, and techno. This versatile style has led him to share stages with James Blake’s 1-800 DINOSAUR, play festivals like rural, and join DJ Nobu’s Future Terror 20th Anniversary in 2022. In 2024, his back-to-back with Antal (Rush Hour) packed the venue to capacity, and he embarked on a successful New York tour.

His sets embrace diversity while connecting deeply with every type of crowd—from connoisseurs to casual listeners—earning him trust and recognition across borders.

Beyond the booth, he has contributed mixes for Noods Radio, NTS Radio, Rinse FM, and Seoul Community Radio, and directs CYK TOKYO RADIO, consistently spotlighting rising domestic and international talent for Japan’s club scene.
