OSAMU M
OSAMU M started DJing in 1994 at the age of 17, soon after launching his resident party called "SUBMERGE" at the legendary club Maniac Love Tokyo. His style, playing a long 7hr DJ set every month, grasped the hearts of Tokyo's clubbers. His skills and exceptional talent
caught the eye of progressive house legend John Digweed, and Osamu played for "Transitions" on his radio show 5 times. His one-hour mixes of his own original songs and remixes in particular created a sensation among many listeners with his unique worldview. His name and style were recognized worldwide and has released music through top labels, such as Bedrock and
Alternative Route. Osamu has toured not only major clubs in Tokyo such as WOMB and Ageha, but also all over the world.
He then moved to London and established his own label Outerspace Records in order to express a new style of house music. His first album OSAMU M & SATOSHI FUMI "Outerspace" was released and rave reviews from top DJs including Laurent Garnier, Funk D'Void, Danny Howells and Steve Lawler. He
has also played at Funk D'Void's "VIVE LE DEEP" party, Nic Fanciulli's popular "CLUB CLASS" event and London's mega club Ministry of Sound. After returning to Japan, he has performed with many well-known artists in Japan and abroad, he has played in 16 countries so far including a
successful tour of South America (Argentina, Colombia, and Venezuela) and has moved back to his original playing field in Tokyo.
In 2011, he started his regular party "LIBERATION" at Nishi-Azabu eleven, and has performed at various festivals and big events such as Fuji Rock,
etc. As for the Ultra Japan, he has performed on all world's top techno stage of "RESISTANCE" from 2015 to 2023. In 2018, he played as a headliner of Japanese DJs along with the guest DJ Sven Väth before also playing on UMF Radio. Around the same time, he started "BLACK ON IT" at BPM in Shibuya with Masanori Morita (Studio Apartment).
In 2022, he performed as a guest on the Ultra Korea "RESISTANCE" stage with Adam Beyer and others. In 2022, and has long been active as a one of
the most in-demand DJs in the Japanese house/techno scene.
In 2020, he started a techno unit called Kandarta with Hideo Kobayashi that expresses a cinematic and spectacular world through their music and they have released 3 tracks. In 2023, he launched "NEURON" at WOMB, hosted Mathame, Hunter/Game, and SOEL, with Kandarta’s captivating performance, “NEURON" has been ignited a new movement and is attracting even more attention for its future development.
