
Seimei
Seimei is an A&R and co-founder of Japanese label ‘TREKKIE TRAX’ which has been releasing dance music from Tokyo, Japan over a decade.
As a member of TREKKIE TRAX CREW and a solo artist, he has performed at various venues in Japan and abroad, while organizing TREKKIE TRAX’s label nights and performing at the notable festivals such as Fuji Rock Festival, ULTRA JAPAN, EDC Japan and SXSW.
In January 2014, he moved to San Francisco, USA (now based in Tokyo) and has been playing as a DJ not only in San Francisco but also in Seattle, Los Angeles and more in the US. He has performed with genre-crossing artists such as Addison Groove, DJ Sliink, Machinedrum, Wave Racer, Lido, Brasstracks, Porter Robinson. He also supported Sophie, A.G. Cook, QT and others on London-based PC Music’s first North American tour.
In 2015, Seimei has provided guest mixes for LuckyMe on Rinse FM, and on Nina Las Vegas’ show on triple J. He is also active as a producer. His original track played on Lucky Me on Rinse FM was included in a compilation by Movel Traxx, a label run by Big Dope P.
In 2021, after returning to Japan, he provided a guest mix for Ben UFO’s show on Rinse FM, who runs Hessle Audio, and in same year, he released his first solo album, “A Diary From The Crossing” on WET TRAX based in Canada. In 2022, he released a mini-album, “The Truth Of The Myth” on TREKKIE TRAX and in 2024, his EP “Tokyo Funky Breaks” on New York’s Sorry Records was premiered by DJ Mag.
